Early on, her house was found at Ephesus and in the centuries that followed she was embraced by Byzantines of all classes, but my guess is that it started among the elites and more among women than men, at least initially. By the time Constantinople and the Byzantine Empire were founded in , it was with a mass dedicated in her name.
